The Atomic bombing on Japan can be justified. The Japanese were preparing the bloodiest reception ever for the allies if the invaded Honshu, an island in Japan. Truman would never have been able to hold office if he had a working weapon and chose not to use it. He could not pass up this opportunity of ending the war so swiftly with this effective weapon. Also, the Alliance between the Western powers and the Soviets was growing weak after the fall of Germany. Harry Truman had to show he was unafraid to use this massively destructive bomb, especially one that the United States possessed at that time. This caused the Emperor to surrender and even though 70,000 were killed, World War II was now over. The Japanese were well aware of the consequences that were at hand because president Truman warned them that he was prepared to end the war in utter destruction if they would not surrender. Also during this time the Japanese government was corrupt because they allowed and directed their soldiers to raid and destroy innocent Chinese villages, they allowed the solders to kill children and use their women as sex slaves. We had to take some kind of action after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, corruption and overall trickery of the Japanese.
